Voting Home / Cama Beach State Park
Nominated for: BEST Cabins
The Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission celebrated the grand opening of Cama Beach State Park on June 21, 2008. The new state park is on the southwest shore of Camano Island facing Saratoga Passage. Cama Beach offers visitors a chance to step back in time to a 1930s-era Puget Sound fishing resort complete with waterfront cedar cabins and bungalows. These have been refurbished, with modern conveniences added, and are available for rent year round to individuals and groups

My family has stayed at Cama Several times and have enjoyed everything about the park. The cabins are clean and comfortable, the setting is perfect, the staff is wonderful and we learn something new about the area and the history of the park every time we go.

I vote for Cama Beach State Park as the best of Western Washington’s (and the rest of this nation) cabin getaways. The 1930’s cabins, the natural history and cultural history of Cama Beach plus the warm and helpful staff of Rangers and The Center for Wooden Boats are top rate.

I know from first hand experience that Cama Beach's cabins are very well kept and are thoroughly cleaned after each use. The staff there is very dedicated to maintaining the cabins to the best of their abilities.
