Cape Disappointment State Park (formerly Fort Canby State Park) is a 1,882-acre camping park on the Long Beach Peninsula, fronted by the Pacific Ocean. The park offers two miles of ocean beach, two lighthouses, an interpretive center and hiking trails. Visitors enjoy beachcombing and exploring the area's rich natural and cultural history. The nearby coastal towns of Ilwaco and Long Beach feature special events and festivals spring through fall.
Fabulous view spot at the confluence of the Pacific and the Columbia River. Two historic light houses, fascinating and beautifully executed Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center and gift shops with interesting books and unique gifts.

The absolute singular beauty of Cape Disappointment is not to be missed. So much history is evident and preserved. The two light houses and the hiking paths make for an experience that ranks high on my list of favorites!

Great hikes and views. You've got to see the place where the Columbia river meets the ocean.
