As an All American Road, the Chinook Scenic Byway is guided by majestic Mount Rainier as the corridor traverses the mighty Cascade Range between Naches and Enumclaw. The diverse landscape varies from the talus and basaltic rock formations in the east to the dense forests and rich vegetation growth habitats in the west, influenced by Pacific Ocean winds. Spectacular views of waterfalls and wild rivers, White River flows west and American and Naches rivers flow east, can been seen as one ascends from the Chinook Pass at 5430 feet.
