Dakota Creek is known for it's wide variety of Northwest Wildlife and being rich with history. The course was founded as a 9 hole course that meandered through hilly dairy farm fields, down into a ravine to cross Dakota Creek. An old farm house and dairy barn still stand on site. In 1998 the back 9 was put in along a ridge climbing 250 feet in elevation, giving it some of the best views in Whatcom County.
